Injury Prevention and Rehab
Prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries
The prevention and treatment of injuries and overuse injuries is of great importance in both recreational and competitive sports. Although numerous training methods and programs are available, the incidence of injuries is still high.
Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the Chair of Neuromotor Skills and Movement attempts to identify the causes and mechanisms of relevant traumas and to develop movement-based measures for prophylaxis and treatment. A particular focus is on lower limb injuries in general and anterior cruciate ligament ruptures in particular, as well as the implementation of scientific evidence in practice.
